Marriott Bonvoy (Mobile and Web Experience)

Would you go to Marriott to search for your next leisure destination? That was our challenge…come up with awesome new experiences that facilitate the guest journey from consideration to booking.

So, we designed a series of new digital products that make it fun and easy for users to discover, plan, shop, share, and book leisure travel on Marriott (and a couple 3rd party) channels.


Marriott Bonvoy Mobile App

Designing the entirely new Marriott Bonvoy leisure travel experience

Destination Finder and Trip Recommender

This guided questionnaire assists users in finding destinations and properties.

Designed to inspire, a user can browse categories of properties, destination guides, and deals, with or without filtered criteria.

Notification and Mobile Messaging Design System

We created an integrated design system for tagging properties cards, including merchandising properties based on inventory, deals, and more.

The notification strategy allowed for unique and personalization features based on a user’s preferences and status throughout the experience.

Favorites, Saved Lists, and Travel Inspired Playlists

Robust favoriting system to allow quick saving of properties, making trip/wish lists, and comparing saved properties.

In addition, we created travel-inspired playlists to be launched on 3rd party platforms, such as Pinterest and Spotify.

Enhanced Property Search and Discovery-based Explorer Tool

Contextual search feature that provides more personalized recommendations based on a user’s search criteria.

Designed for discovery, a user can browse destinations via map view, and filter down to relevant guides/properties.
